The thousands of graduates of at least four universities who venture into the workforce every year will get a boost in their job-hunting efforts through the recent partnership established by JobsDB Phils, Inc. (www.jobsdb.com.ph) and the PHINMA Education Network (PEN).
PEN is a group of academic institutions that have banded together to help improve the educational system in certain regions, which includes revamping facilities and upgrading curricula and syllabi. JobsDB Phils, Inc. will provide the PEN member schools their own mini job site where their students can log in and look for employment online on a 24/7 basis; these universities are:
• Araullo University
• Cagayan de Oro College
• The University of Pangasinan, and
• The University of Iloilo
The Memorandum of Agreement signing was held last June at the University of Iloilo (UI). Representing their respective organizations were Jayjay Viray, managing director of JobsDB Phils, Inc. and Chito Salazar, PEN president. Also present during the signing were Jane Soco, JobsDB Cebu assistant general manager; Sid Hilario, JobsDB Cebu assistant marketing manager; Jeanette Fabul, UI-PEN executive vice president and COO; Maita Magalong, CSDL director; Rohena Miranda, guidance, counseling and testing office head; and Carla Joy Nugpo, placement and management specialist. / ph.jobsdb.com
